We need diverse opinions in all these posts.

We'll need a decorated veteran for Defense, likewise Homeland Security. State should be headed by a real-world negotiator. HUD by someone who believes that even Detroit and Gary can prosper: integration of new business and gentrification.

Transportation needs to be headed by somebody who sees beyond the interstate highway system and believes in modernizing and expanding high-speed rail. It was formed after 9-11 due to the various agencies not communicating with each other. Now we have an even larger bureaucracy in which the various agencies still don't communicate & coordinate. Since our military is much smaller than Vietnam, eliminate all 4-star positions. The services are drowning in military political appointees. The services need military leaders. The VA needs a massive shake-up. Massive. I used to work for them. The culture & the mob mentality needs to drastically change. Those who break laws, fudge numbers, or lie to Congressional committees like we have seen too many times in the past, need to be fired on the spot, & no pension. No transferring them to other VA or other agency positions. Bad apples need to be let go, not moved to a different bucket.Response by SSG Ralph Watkins made Jan 31 at 2023 4:59 PM2023-01-31T16:59:20-05:002023-01-31T16:59:20-05:002016-07-14T12:26:31-04:00
