As the story goes as after being insulted by the teacher, Pink dreams that the kids in his school begin to protest against their abusive teachers. The song talks about how he had a personal wall around him from the rest of the world, and the teachers were just another brick in the wall.

Reminds me of, "Bart Perez", he had every Pink Floyd album ever made.
He later opened his home and fostered orphan children, and took in 27 children, which now they are all adults and moved on with their lives.
Thank You Bart and wife for giving those 27 children a new start in life. God truly Blessed You!

Sitting on CQ duty late at night listening to "Comfortably Numb" on the radio. I had already watched the movie in the theater. To me it was a story of a mans slow decent into insanity.

Not old enough for the original release of course, as I was born in 86. However, my father and I used to listen to this and Dark Side of the Moon all the time when I was a child. Great albums. IT is so rare nowadays to find an album that you can listen to from start to finish. Most albums nowadays only have one or two good songs. These old classics flow smoothly from one song to the next.

Played it in my apartment 7x24 for half of my undergrad and ALL of my graduate (Masters Degree) time in college. ‘Comfortably Numb’ would get repeat plays. This went on for 3 apartments over 5 years.

Then i got a former Israeli Paratrooper as a roomie. It became a constant battle between ‘The Wall’, ‘Wish You Were Here’, & ‘Dark Side of the Moon’... specifically ‘The Great Gig in the Sky’... beautiful voice!

I was a Junior in High School. Big Pink Floyd fan, still have the double album. It's about resentment and alienation, a look into the mind of Bassist Roger Waters who wrote most of the album. In the movie the character "Pink" is modeled after him and former founding guitarist Syd Barrett.

I was stationed on Graves Kaserne, Aschaffenburg, Germany. Saw it at the movie theater there. What it means to me ? Just another brick in the wall.....
