Great question. What's the threat?

Let's say I'm behind enemy lines, surrounded by committed radicals: I'm thinking a high-yield, clearly visible vest made of C-4 shrouded in ball bearings on a dead-man switch. Heck-maybe I could walk all the way to Mecca and back.

If I'm going solo into bad-guy land to meet someone...I'll take my Orerla blade, a Kel-Tec Sub 2000 folding carbine and a dozen mags of .40 paired with a Level III concealable vest.

Joining a stick of dudes going in to snag a "high value target"? I'll take the suppressed Mk 18 with no less 125-140 rounds, IR laser, my Glock 22 with no less than 75 rounds, JPC with ceramics, nods, high-cut Kevlar, PC hydro-pack, and my Boker Applegate "just in case".

Running on my own from the bad-uns in the bush? I'll take my Mk 12 with plenty of ammo, my Glock, Kryptex Highlander, 3-day pack, and my stag handle Damascus Bowie.

Raptors? Heck, if it's Raptors, I'll offer to buy some Apache pilot all the hooch he can stand, and ride front seat with the M230.

An M4 SOPMOD Block II and a SADM - should be able to adjust most attitudes as mission requires with just the two. Not knowing more - I'll always opt for a hammer but grab a big f'ing hammer just in case.

Sooner or later, you run out of expendables (ammo). With no further information I'll take:
1 Combination Bearded Axe and Adze, wooden handle
1 Combination Bearded Hatchet and Adze, wooden handle
1 USM3 Fighting knife
1 Medium Grit Diamond Sharpening Stone
1 Fine Grit Diamond Sharpening Stone
1 Combination Stone Mason's Hammer and Chisel, wooden handle
1 War Hammer (a real one, not some Hollywood dragon killing weird piece of crap)
1 Crossbow capable of firing wooden fire hardened bolts
1 Map of naturally occurring flint or obsidian

M-14 with optics (I'm old school) and all the 7.62 I can carry.
Sidearm with 3-4 mags.
Equipment to protect me from the elements (rain gear, cold weather stuff)
Small camo net.
Radio
First aid/ survival/ E&E bug out bag.
Water purification tablets.

My (very quiet) Ruger 10/22 rifle with 2000 rds of ammo and any non-perishable food available. A good pair of boots, thermal underwear and rain gear. Stash my AR in a good hiding place with 1000 rds for later. My trusty Taurus 9mm on my side and all the water I can carry.
