In a heartbeat! I would not have to be asked twice. I miss the brotherhood, the knowing you could count on what people tell you ( 90%) and your buddies have your back.
With the exception of my veteran friends, I have found nothing like this in the civilian side. No offense meant but, they just don't understand.

Hell no I would not.
Active duty is way more administrative than you guys remember - plus I couldn't handle being treated like I once did. I am way more settled in myself as a person.

Indeed. Through all the B.S. The military is by far one of the easiest jobs in the world, in my opinion. Do what your told and be on time, and one has the ability to progress quickly. To this day Iam still bewildered by how difficult that is to accomplish for some people.

I can't remember the regulation off-hand however while I was at meb board at ft. Stewart I was informed that due strictly to medical issues one cannot be prevented from attending the board. Definitely look into it, for me it would of made a difference in the rank I was retired in.

It may sound weird but even as a young soldier I was motivated to become an NCO by the poor leadership I had. I learned what not to do and wanted to ensure future soldiers would have a real leader they would want to emulate.

About 6 months prior to my ETS I had a job lined up to work in Dubai as a UH-60 Standardized Flight Instructor for Non-Rated Crewmembers. Sadly due to an accident that has left my back a mess, I had to go through the Medical Evaluation Board and am no longer able to pass a flight physical. Although I was permantly retired, I would return every benefit I receive to not have these issues and fly once more.

That is a hard question to answer. I guess it depends on when I was being asked. I went into the army in 1985 when the DI's could still motivate you if needed and got out when "don't ask, don't tell" was abolished. I don't have anything against LGBT people, but why does everyone have to know they are? Last I remember fraternization is against the UCMJ so why would I have to know if a male or female co-worker likes me sexually or not? If you go back to before they had the stress cards in training and asked me I would say yes in a second, now I just don't know.

seeing as how i got forced out due to injuries there is no way i could short of new ankle ,knees ,back and shoulders. The other is cus i turned in two of my soldiers for sexually assaulting another. Of course it all went under a rug some where and i got marked as the bad guy.. I miss my soldiers and i miss the life. But i will never trust the military again. Not with my life and not with the life of my loved ones..

No, I'm good. My health had started failing & I was severely disgruntled. I think it really has something to do with being in what I call the "dis-functional" part of the army (non-divisional) for so long. Now, I'm 80% disabled. If my health returned, I think I'd just try my best to enjoy life & be thankful for good health.

Yes I would love to go back on active duty. I just would not go back to the 82nd Airborne Division my unit was the worst. If you can lose a 9mm pistol and get people blown up you get to stay in and reenlist and if you get a sexual assault charge you get to stay in and if you fail jumpmaster school like my last commander you get to stay. I would reenlist and go to Louisiana,Germany,Italy.

I miss the army!! There's not a day that goes by that I don't miss the uniform and the brotherhood and sisterhood mentality. But I don't miss the bullshit politics. The army has become so politically correct with everything we've gotten lost from are actual mission.
