The reasons I joined the military and stayed have constantly changed. I just got off orders and need a break. Continuous active duty puts a group of stressors on people that most have trouble dealing with. I spent 9 years in, did my bit for king and country, did what I wanted to do and I was ready to go. Most of my time in I was also overworked, perpetually tired(because sleep is for the weak, apparently), and stressed out. <br /><br />I'd glad I did what I did but I'm also happy to be done and moving on with my life. If I knew then what I know now, I would've sucked it up and stayed in. I am grateful to have the opportunities now that the military provides. The entire process I was trying to volunteer for mos's that you either don't need deployed or typically don't but the Army was hearing none of it.<br />If they called and said they wanted my back they would have to meet the following stipulations:<br />1) Promotion to E-6, with back pay to my date of discharge.<br />2) Choice of mos<br />3) Choice of duty station<br />4) min 50,000 non taxable bonus<br />5) No drop in disability rating- raise only.<br />6) VA compensation to be put in a hold status- I'm not waiting 45 days to get paid this time.<br /><br />If the Army can meet those stipulations I'd sign for 4-6 years.
