Even when someone has a less than correct answer to a question, it is almost always corrected and provides an opportunity for growth and learning for all participants. <br />I try to keep the mindset that a question isn't a test.. it's an opportunity for discussion and growth and that the textbook 'correct' answer, may not always be the BEST answer (depending on the situation).

This is very convenient, and an improvement that I can think of is to tweek the UI so that bar on the top right of the page (messages, notifications, connection requests etc) does the same. At the same time incorporate more real time notifications. Push a notification to the user without them having to refresh or move to another page on the site first.

I was at the Tucson VA today and saw a "Big 3" (WWII, Korea, Vietnam veteran) and thought, "How can we make a difference for this hero?" Could we somehow set up a profile for them and schedule an interview with them at their residency? Do we have any members at miitary retirement homes? Functionality wise. Specially the text box for replies.

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Build a retrospective US military unit database - à la Ancestry.com - that links today's units with their predecessors.<br /><br />Some of us from the Vietnam days will never find our units listed on RallyPoint.<br /><br />In light of the ever-changing military (budgets, re-engineering the structure, downsizing, consolidating, etc. etc.), the disappearance of units has been a fact of military life since The Governor's Guards of Connecticut militia (1771), and change is not about to end in 2015.<br /><br />Now THAT would be interesting to see all mapped out some day.<br /><br />Side note: same thought for military specialty codes.

A lot of veterans here own businesses now, it would be great if instead of getting advertisements from non-veteran owned businesses, we can get advertisements from businesses that we know are veteran-owned and operated.

Or at least get rid of that stupid reminder

There are times when I make a discussion and I will then go and read different posts but I run out of votes for my discussion because I like and vote other posts. Does that sound stupid?
