There just aren't any I approve of in my area. I don't know what this would take, or even if it's possible with the goals I have in mind. But I've seen quite a few clinics, and help run a couple of small ones myself (if the army counts).

Looks like schooling is cost-prohibitive, but that's what I would do. Not very grand in scope, I'll admit, but I'd be able to help people again.

edit: any -> any I approve of.Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made May 26 at 2015 9:56 AM2015-05-26T09:56:18-04:002015-05-26T09:56:18-04:00LTC Private RallyPoint Member696166

Volunteer! Unfortunately there are not enough people willing to give back to their communities anymore. If you have children look at Scouting and if you don't look at a town committee group of some type! Please let me know how I can help!Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made May 26 at 2015 11:17 AM2015-05-26T11:17:58-04:002015-05-26T11:17:58-04:00PO2 David L. There is a lot to learn about budgeting, managing a checking account and learning about short term and long term savings. I have actually volunteered in other schools and through base family support centers to teach on personal finance. Now being in Tampa, Florida for 4 months I am looking to pick that up again to further educate our military and students locally.

Volunteering with where your heart is or something you are passionate for is a great way to give back to your communityResponse by PO2 David L. I see a lot of younger people 15+ that are already starting down the wrong road and trying meth and abusing alcohol. Id like to try and start an afterschool program or something of the sort to show these kids an alternative route in lifeResponse by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made May 26 at 2015 12:56 PM2015-05-26T12:56:37-04:002015-05-26T12:56:37-04:002015-05-26T09:41:25-04:00
