If you are on orders to PCS to a duty assignment that you reenlisted for, can your current unit extend you for a deployment?

If you have orders, you have orders. Not seeing how you either were able to get orders pending a deployment or deployed? A ton of detail missing to actually answer this question.

You have orders for Nov 17 PCS? That's impressive. Good luck working it out; and you might, but I would guess your new DEROS is about to be AUG 18.

If you've got orders cut then you shouldn't be stabilized for any deployments unless your orders were set for when you return from the deployment. But typically, if you have orders, then you should already be checking out of the unit.

Yes, if the unit is "fenced" for the deployment then you can count on remaining with your unit for its mission.....deploying is another story - some units try to work it so the troop can PCS but typically the fence captures the entire unit!

If I said no they could not and you should tell them you will not deploy because some old LTC on RP told you so, would you refuse to go?
