Replace the washing machine and put some towards bills. I'd love for there to be more fun stuff but that'll probably be it.

Also, I think the fancier and more high tech the washer/dryers have gotten, the less durable they are. Before I bought these front loaders I had a 25 year old set of Maytags that still work for the guy I gave them too!

Paying off my last credit card. Signing up for at least one more trail marathon (time to go back to the Northface Endurance Challenge course I think). Setting aside a little for summer concerts. Taking the family on a road trip to see the in-laws in Texas. Anything that's left after that I'll spend on bacon.

Be happy to receive a refund :) I will be continuing to pay the IRS, even after they involuntarily switched my exemptions from Married with two, to Single with zero.

Nevermind my woes, just bank the money you may receive and gain interest while you decide on the best use.

Getting a tax return isn't lucky. It means that you gave the government, probably the last entity on the planet that needs or is worthy of it, a zero interest loan for that amount.

I try to set my deductions such that I will owe less than $300, but closer to zero, without going under, is the goal.

I never get a refund. My question is always, "What's the government gonna do with this extra money they didn't get from me?" Well I guess it's ok. If they want to ding me for being single, successful, and childless then let them.
