If you are an APFT failure due to a medical condition can you get your P status back or do you have to reboard? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/if-you-are-an-apft-failure-due-to-a-medical-condition-can-you-get-your-p-status-back-or-do-you-have-to-reboard <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I looked into the regulations AR 600-8 and AR 600-20 but they have no guidance on this issue. I am trying to figure this out as I had a PT failure of 10 seconds on my run. I had an MRI scheduled for the end of the month due to training and being in a new unit. I was wondering if being my MRI was scheduled and it came back showing I have a Labral tear if I would be able to get my P status back. Also it’s been over a month and my flag has not been removed since I had a passing APFT. You&#39;ll have to reboard. You became ineligible for promotion with a flag. Also, your flag should be lifted as long as your passing APFT was for record SFC Private RallyPoint Member Mon, 30 Mar 2020 08:51:28 -0400 2020-03-30T08:51:28-04:00 Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 30 at 2020 3:57 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/if-you-are-an-apft-failure-due-to-a-medical-condition-can-you-get-your-p-status-back-or-do-you-have-to-reboard?n=5720535&urlhash=5720535 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>ultimately, if you were not on profile, you were able to take the PT test, and hence you failed. If you fail an APFT, you have 90 days to take and pass a record. you will be administered a diag apft at the 30 day and 60 day marks unless waived by the commander. You will then need to be reboarded.
