If we could not recognize John the Baptist as the returning Elijah, how in the world will you recognize Jesus at His return?

Scripture is pretty clear and it will be very obvious when Christ returns. The trick is to recognize Hiim in the world today! To see him in the panhandler on the street. In the car broken down by side of the road. In the mother struggling to feed and cloth children. In the thirsty looking for a drink. In the soup kitchen, in the prison, on the street filthy and dirty. "As you have done unto the least of these my brothers you have done unto me"

I personally believe there will be no doubt in anyone as to whether or not it's truly him when he returns. If there's doubt then I feel it's likely a false Jesus. When it comes to the true Christ our eyes will see him for who he is as the son of God.

By denying the spiritual morals for literal words is breathtakingly ignorant as He shows us this very ideal by writing in parables, not directly, but indirectly.
Without the spiritual meaning the literal is useless.

And if it is just pure recital of the written word, many will claim, I am he.
For who could use the bible for self richness and be doing what Jesus would do? (WWJD?)
Where are the deceivers?
Those that espouse their knowledge without understanding. Those are deceivers. They recite what they know to be true but, they lack in understanding.
Broods of Vipers.
His words not mine.
Church is business today much as it was when Jesus turned over the tables of money changers and the selling of spiritual cleansing S.
He tells us, we still are doing it but worse than ever before.
The truth is here.
Just really hard to accept since we thought we were taught but we were lead into captivity of the church, buying favors, not learning a thing, as always.
His Word spells out what to avoid and we flock to it.
Now, this is a very HUGE BROAD BRUSH to paint however, for the most part it's true.
There are MANY GREAT CHURCHES that are teaching truth of the scriptures. But, they are few and far between.
We're still doing the same old song and dance around the wrong temple is all.

Someone once told me that we all will meet Jesus at some point in our life on Earth. He will present us with a decision and we will be judged on what we do. I am not sure if I believe this, but if it were true, I feel that I failed.

An elderly homeless man startled my wife and I one morning when we woke up to him sleeping outside out bedroom window (our apartment is partially below ground and the window was open, so he could see us in our bed). We couldn't close the window because of his belongings, so my wife ran out of the room and we closed the door. A few hours later I went into the room and he was awake and looking at me. I think he was going to ask me for something, but I instead asked him if he would mind moving away from our window as he is making us uncomfortable. He got up and said, "you will never see me again." He said it in such a way, with such disappointment in me.

I immediately thought, "what if this were Jesus, come to me to see if I would offer him food, or a warm shower? Instead, the man got up and walked away before I could think twice. I have never seen him since..

Were that my judgement, I could do nothing, but beg for forgiveness. To speak out what was truly in my heart and what I failed to offer as a neighbor and Christian..
