I hope that EUCOM is not drawn into this action.
I was stationed in Germany during the cold war and at times we were instructed to be careful where we went and how we dressed - that was primarily because of terrorism but the principle applies.
Hopefully all service members stationed in Europe will be kept apprised of the situation in terms of their region. I'd need to see what the legal decision is on applying Posse Comitatus. I'd expect we'd hit the reject button on going after civilians as a group. That said, I'd see a support, non law enforcement role maybe. CAPT Kevin B. I thought France might after the ISIS attacks in Paris, but so far no one has.
If the solution winds up being military-run Dislocated Civilian Camps, we'd be much better served setting them up as close to Syria as possible. Preferably in Jordan, Turkey, Lebanon, or Cyprus. 1SG Private RallyPoint Member Tue, 16 Feb 2016 17:42:32 -0500 2016-02-16T17:42:32-05:00 2016-02-16T13:18:05-05:00
