If Nation Archives or personal records can't help in recovering my service records, where can I go? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/if-nation-archives-or-personal-records-can-t-help-in-recovering-my-service-records-where-can-i-go <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I attended two schools for training that are not on my DD-214. One for 67N crew member wings US Army Reserves Los Alamitos CA Armed Forces Reserve Center 1987 (90 days TDY) and one for foreign jump wings- Turkey while serving at Ft Bragg NC 82nd Airborne Division. DD-85 Diplomas and certs were given but are not annotated on my discharge paperwork. Whom else would I turn to to have them added to my DD-214? I don&#39;t expect you&#39;ll have much luck finding those records from the 1980s. Is there a specific benefit to having those schools annotated or just your piece of mind knowing your records are up to date? Unless the jump was in Turkey, in a Turk aircraft, I suspect the Turkish jumpmaster simply signed off on US documents to award the badge. Do you still have your jump record (DA Form 1307)? Was that series of jumps in it? If you only need your DD214 updated, then you need to go though the DD215 process and submit the paperwork along with it (<a target="_blank" href="https://veteran.com/dd215/">https://veteran.com/dd215/</a>).<br /><br />Obviously if you need to do both you&#39;ll have to obtain the paperwork showing you&#39;re eligible first (follow suggestions by <a class="dark-link bold-link" role="profile-hover" data-qtip-container="body" data-id="136036" data-source-page-controller="question_response_contents" href="/profiles/136036-ltc-jason-mackay">LTC Jason Mackay</a>). <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default"> <div class="pta-link-card-picture"> </div> <div class="pta-link-card-content"> <p class="pta-link-card-title"> <a target="blank" href="https://veteran.com/dd215/).">).</a> </p> <p class="pta-link-card-description"></p> </div> <div class="clearfix"></div> </div> COL Randall C. Rucker AL. 1987 by I believe LA MEPS or Los Alamitos. AFRC .Tried to reach out to records there in person. Was told to do a SF 180? I do not have copies of my documents or certificate anymore. I wore Turkish parachutist badge after completion while at Ft. Bragg till ETS. Nothing was annotated on my 214. Never received any docs on my finishing Ft. Rucker duty.
