If my son goes with some other men to the commander about an E-6 would he be considered a Blue Falcon? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/if-my-son-goes-with-some-other-men-to-the-commander-about-an-e-6-would-he-be-considered-a-blue-falcon

My son is going to the commander with other men, about an E6, in this open door policy today. But, if there are others that feel the same way as your son and are willing to bring up the issues that need fixing, then your son isn't a Blue Falcon. The only ones that are gonna call him that are the ones that end up getting butthurt. Your son can't control the butthurt.....but....if they feel strongly about these actions and that the commander needs to be informed....then butthurt people be damned. However, what about the 1SG first.
I guess it really depends on the situation.
I know ignoring a situation waiting for someone else to make it better never pans out. Dang say what you mean Buddy F^&*$r. Now seriously they can't change perceptions- and they Open Door is exactly this type situation. Hell its not like they are going to announce it in formation and the CO can set a time with min folks around. That way no one backs out. Between that E6 and the Commander, I'm sure there is a Platoon Leader, 1SG. Why are they skipping everyone and going straight to the commander? SFC Michael D. We had to explain what a blue falcon was. This E6 can't be that bad if they are still thinking about it. Either he's crossed and line and they need to take it higher or he hasn't. Is this the same one that is drunk on duty you posted about before? That needs to go to the Commander, while he is exhibiting the indicators that he is drunk on duty.

A blue falcon is not a snitch per se. It is code for buddy f*cker. And not asking for more. You however have the information.
Look to your past. Would you have gone over everyone to the commander, in the same situation? I mean you personally (you don’t have to answer). If you feel that is the best way to handle it, then that is how you would speak to your son.
However, going direct and bypassing every other option ensures that the chain of command is not able to function.
