CPT Jose D. 4941743

I am seeking advice, but first I have to share the particulars of my case:
-Did four years enlisted active duty
-Did 8 years of National Guard duty
-Got out do to injury (I was transferred to the IRR), injury healed, but I fell out of shape due to it.
-I want to return to Active duty to finish my time, if not I will return to the Guard.

If I were selected via CAD program (big assumption) and finished my reminding time with the RA, how would that effect my retirement? More to the point will I be able to collect retirement pay after I hit the 20 year mark, or will I be under the Guard system, where I can only collect after I turn 60? If I were selected via CAD program and finished my reminding time with the RA, how would that effect my retirement? 2019-08-21T20:22:01-04:00 CPT Jose D.

Once you complete those years you can qualify for federal retirement.
Of course you will have to be selected into the Call for Active Duty (CAD) Program first which is very selective.
Contact Career Manager for more details.
HRC RETIRE [login to see] (8-4pm)
[login to see] (Officer) Response by CPT Jose D. made Aug 23 at 2019 7:40 PM 2019-08-23T19:40:48-04:00 2019-08-23T19:40:48-04:00 2019-08-21T20:22:01-04:00
