If I’ve been in for about a year and a half, can I start talking to retention about reclassifying?

Can I start talking to retention about reclassing ? I’ve been in for about a year and a half . I ets on November 17th 2022 .

You are allow to reclass Aslong as you been in your current duty station for minimum 12 months but only to packets Mos. Such as 17c,35L, 25D , 37F & 38B ect lol

You have to wait until your retention window opens up which is 15 months before your ets, unless you drop a packet for one the mos that somebody else mentioned here

It’s never too early to talk to your retention NCO. Even before your reenlistment window opens, the unit’s retention NCO can help you identify your future Army goals and career path. A good unit retention NCO can be a great mentor outside of your chain of command.

Start planning now. The sooner you make contact, the sooner retention can find you everything you need.
I guarantee the retention NCO will make time for you.

Nothing wrong with exploring your options in advance. You will be better prepared when the time comes to put in for what you want when you are ready.
