If I re-enlist after being out for four years, do I have any other options besides having to re-complete basic training?

So recently (MAR2017), there has been a change with prior service getting back in. If you've been out for more than three years, you're sent to an augmented basic training. To my understanding from friends that I have in the recruiting command, it's a six week course. As far as I know, there's no getting around it.

All prior service who have been out more than 3 years have to do the 6 week course at ft lenardwood ive been out for 5 years i have seen the adendum to the orders sent down from higher up your recruiter will have the info

Unless the rules have changed recently, Army prior service with more than a three year break in service are required to do a four week long Warrior Transition Course. Then you should be good unless you change MOS's, which would require a new AIT.

Sir, I didn't know I could post a response to the question so I tried to cram everything in. I was wondering if there are any other options out there other than full basic? I know how the recruiting can work from my first time around and it just seemed off. Thank You.
