If I qualify expert on both the M4 and M9 do I wear 2 devices or one with 2 bars (1x Carbine & 1x Pistol) on my blues?

If you qualified expert on both, then you can wear both bars on one expert badge

what does the Regulation tell you about wearing of awards. Look in Da pam 670-1 in should be explained. I kept a Copy when I was in of AR670-1 and FM'S Drill and Ceremony and Etc.
it was tool that helped me being a Better solider and NCO.

Per my understanding of it, it would be 1 Expert Badge with 2 Clasps (Pistol & Carbine).
Though I have been told be multiple Sergeants that it doesn't look good and to just wear 1 clasps regardless of how many quals you have. Not sure why this seems to be a popular opinion.

Back in the stone ages people wore as many clasps (bars) as they earned. It was also common to see people with both an expert badge and a sharpshooter or marksman badge if they qualified at different levels on different weapons. I wore an expert badge and a sharpshooter badge with two bars on each. I actually qualified with six weapons but left off two bars because it didn't look even with four on one and two on the other.

It's been said but it great advice. Look it up! You won't learn a thing if people keep giving you the answers to your questions. That way, you can be better appraised when this question is posed by one of your Soldiers...once you throw on some stripes. Quick question for you...Would you, personally, wear Rifle, Pistol, Bayonet, Grenade, and Missle if you were qualified? It looks horrible ...just sayin.

If you qualify at the same level (I.e expert, sharpshooter, Marksman) for both weapons then yes 1 device 2 bars on the ladder properly labeled. However your command may dictate that you be required to display them separately.

It's just like a Drivers Badge, I have been awarded both a wheels and track clasp. One badge, two clasps.
