If I put in a packet to change my MOS to 17C, without having my associates, would I stand a chance? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/if-i-put-in-a-packet-to-change-my-mos-to-17c-without-having-my-associates-would-i-stand-a-chance

As of right now I do not have my associates, I saw that the 17C MOS has a required entry of a associates and two certifications. My question is if I put in a packet would I stand a chance to be looked at? You're probably reading the portion under ACASP which allows civilians to join the Army with certain skills and bypass AIT plus receive an advanced promotion.
MOS 17C is an application, meaning you have to apply to the MOS and receive an acceptance letter. Accepted after about 6 wks. Fast forward a couple years after awaiting adjudication of the clearance, and I'm graduating JCAC ahead of plenty of folks with such pieces of paper as you describe. The line scores on the other hand... I'm not aware of them ever being waived. That being said, I had a lot of college towards a bachelors plus experience in the field. You can get in without it, but you need to be competitive somehow.
