You should be using leave, or PTDY, to move into new housing anyway. The army expects you to move during leave and be at work full time once leave is over, not moving. You just have to make sure you have enough leave accrued and approved to do both.Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 10 at 2016 7:12 AM2016-03-10T07:12:32-05:002016-03-10T07:12:32-05:00LTC Paul Labrador1369120<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Leave is leave. It's up to you what you do during it.Response by LTC Paul Labrador made Mar 10 at 2016 10:09 AM2016-03-10T10:09:54-05:002016-03-10T10:09:54-05:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member1370044<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Ask for 10 days of PTDY on your leave form.. Contact housing beforehand and get on the waiting list.. If you get on-post housing right away then you'll get the approved 10 days to situate your family.. Contact the gaining unit first and housing.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 10 at 2016 2:51 PM2016-03-10T14:51:33-05:002016-03-10T14:51:33-05:00CPT Ahmed Faried1381774<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes. have you linked up with your gaining unit already? So long as they have housing you should be good to go. In fact I recommend it so that once your leave ends you are ready for work.Response by CPT Ahmed Faried made Mar 15 at 2016 5:17 PM2016-03-15T17:17:43-04:002016-03-15T17:17:43-04:002016-03-10T07:08:22-05:00
