If I'm discharged for "Moving to an area where an ARNG unit is not within reasonable commuting distance", do I automatically go into the IRR? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/if-i-m-discharged-for-moving-to-an-area-where-an-arng-unit-is-not-within-reasonable-commuting-distance-do-i-automatically-go-into-the-irr <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am an E-7 with 20 years of total service in August and 14 years total active federal service. I moved across the country to my home state which has no availability for E7s either MDAY or ING. I am considering a discharge from the ARNG due to non-availability and need to ensure that I will go into the IRR if I still have an MSO through to my ETS date 02/13/2020 because I am planning to continue to do ADOS tours while in the IRR. Additionally, I was in the process of attempting to go IRR previously and was notified of being selected for an overseas ADOS mobilization that I volunteered for but the current state (on the otherside of the country) won&#39;t approve it, which again requires going into the IRR. They should be able to help you get that sorted. SFC Private RallyPoint Member Thu, 08 Mar 2018 16:20:08 -0500 2018-03-08T16:20:08-05:00 2018-03-07T14:44:30-05:00
