If you can’t maintain the standard, stay in the civilian world. You don’t want to go through the process of be chaptered out of the military and no one wants to waste valuable time removing you from military because of your lack of discipline. Think long and hard about what you’re getting yourself into.Response by CW2 Private RallyPoint Member made May 8 at 2019 9:02 PM2019-05-08T21:02:56-04:002019-05-08T21:02:56-04:00Kiersten Childs4616092<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I'm pretty sure they take your weight or measurements the day you ship off to boot. How long do you have? I would start right away with a clean diet and working out.Response by Kiersten Childs made May 8 at 2019 10:10 PM2019-05-08T22:10:38-04:002019-05-08T22:10:38-04:00MAJ Private RallyPoint Member4617144<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You will most likely go back to MEPS for an inspection where they will do height weight and BF% measurements if you’re over the weight limit. <br /><br />Yes the way they do measurements is not very accurate, but hey the standard is the standard. If you don’t think you can keep yourself to the standard do not sign. <br /><br />I lost over 100 lbs to make tape and get in. Anything is possible if you want it bad enough. It’s a lifestyle change. If you are watching what you eat, running everyday, and doing some weight training you can drop weight quickly. How much do you have to lose?<br /><br />I would suggest also get a neck harness and start doing some neck lifts and also shrugs to make your neck and traps bigger.Response by MAJ Private RallyPoint Member made May 9 at 2019 1:14 AM2019-05-09T01:14:37-04:002019-05-09T01:14:37-04:00SGT Eric Davis4618522<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes for your entire military career!Response by SGT Eric Davis made May 9 at 2019 9:18 AM2019-05-09T09:18:25-04:002019-05-09T09:18:25-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member4620324<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Expect to do height and weight every six months, every school, and every major move in your military career.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made May 9 at 2019 4:15 PM2019-05-09T16:15:07-04:002019-05-09T16:15:07-04:002019-05-08T20:52:00-04:00
