If I appeal a QMP notification, how long will it take to receive a decision?

Of course, this information is "general" and not specific to your situation. To be fair, I'm not sure that anyone else's experience is any more applicable to your situation than this information.

As a SSG or E6-E9 and you received a QMP notice, and you know that it is not justified. You need to file an appeal ASAP. Usually you have 30 days, and if possible get references or letters from your current leadership, and go to the JAG

You have 30 days to make your election. I highly suggest you take the full 30 days. You need to focus on your transition and not worry about the PCS. If you elect to present matters I would estimate 3-6 months for notification. If your QMP is based upon misconduct I highly recommend you bring your leave balance down to 30 days or so. The reason is that an honorable or general can sell leave up to 60 days, but an OTH cannot. Also if based upon misconduct your separation is very rapid once it comes back. People get QMP'd for different reasons though and your notification will call it misconduct if they consider it to be so. Good luck.

Your screwed if you got a QMP notice. Only you know the truth. Bad NCOER, Misconduct, AR-15...Turn in your appeal but get yourself ready for the outside world.

How is this even possible. Qmp notifications for review came out in December. The board just started March 2nd and isn't even completed yet

I put in appeal didn't approved and I have never ever had such a let down I really enjoyed being in
The army it was my life for 16 plus years. After being out I again submitted a another packet to upgrade
My re entry code and got disapproved and I think that anyone that served 15plus years should be entitled to a retirement

You will receive a notification from your chain of command when they receive it from HQDA after the QMP board has approved and finalized the results.
