If you earn your associates in a subject they commission for, you can make a deal to cut your contract short and do 2 years at ROTC to get your bachelors, and a commission. I hear about it a lot, and plan on doing it. Contact the school you want to go to and talk to them about it. If you fail, you finish up the rest of your commitment as enlisted.Response by A1C Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 12 at 2016 9:42 PM2016-04-12T21:42:39-04:002016-04-12T21:42:39-04:00SGM Mikel Dawson1449871<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>No. At one point in my career I was told I needed to do this, but I told them I was an NCO and this was my place, that I was too rude and crude to be an officer. But I'm an NCO. I'm crusty, and too set in my ways. I'm convinced that while officers manage, NCOs lead. I don't think either I or fresh, rookie ROTC cadets would last long together,.Response by SSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 13 at 2016 8:59 AM2016-04-13T08:59:41-04:002016-04-13T08:59:41-04:00SSgt Dan Montague1450833<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The thought never crossed my mind.
