If given a chance to own an APC for giving people the track vehicle experience would that be a good thing to do?

Being an Armor Crewman, I am noticing that there are no real opportunities for people to see what it's like to be in a moving track vehicle. At least not here in Florida.

As I had done so much PMCS on an M113 back in my day, I can say I would not want to own one.

Probably depends on the age of the M113, the ones I drove had the 'stick' steering, probably not the best choice, though I enjoyed it.

Sounds neat, would probably have some interesting insurance implications though. Here in MO. we had one of the DUCK Boats sink and several folks were killed. I like the idea but I'd look into the liability, military equipment is cool but have some inherent dangers we as Soldiers grow accustomed too.

MANY years ago someone gave me a M114... I passed. They are a lot of fun when someone else is paying for fuel and maintenance.

I did a little work for the LittleField foundation out here before Jacques passed. Maintenance is a question but insurance and what the limits placed by said insurance are questions to look into.
