The red Cross will loan you some money also. I knew some guys who got emergency leave and the red Cross lent then money but, not enough for the whole family to go. I couldn&#39;t even attend my grandfather&#39;s funeral. Immediate only (unless the person who died was your guardian when you enlisted).<br />I don&#39;t know what the regulations are now, but when I was in, up until 1990, that was how it worked.<br />...and, as far as travel pay, you won&#39;t get anything but Emergency Leave, and might have to get a loan from somewhere to cover the cost if you don&#39;t have it.
