Maybe the scent kit is ordered by the k9 unit from the manufacturer and then placed on the property book. If I understood the question. Right. You can always contact the warrant officer working inside the ASP for technical knowledge on your situation. Its requested through TAMIS and issued on a 581. After issue the 581 and 3151 are taken to PBO and added to the property book just like any other OPL. Ammo is always liable for what is in there containers. Then also, the person possibly MPs or E.O.D perhaps are in charge of it. If they dont want it documented you can take it out and have them store it somewhere else. It's not your responsibility, unless the commander told a brother or sister unit to store it there.
