My HMMWV was used for parts before I arrived in Korea. I've been restoring cars and trucks that are "dead lined" ever since. I blame my OCD behaviors on the need to be "squared away." I talked a sergeant off a three story barracks roof in Korea. Now working with suicidal clients is all in a day's work. The interesting things that I have noticed is that to this day when my Wife and I walk anywhere she is on my left, we go into restaurants and my family understands that I sit facing the door, I still wake up between 0430 and 0500 everyday, nowadays I just roll over and go back to sleep but my eyes still go "SNAP" at that time.

The one thing I have not been able to get rid of completely has been the racing heart beat when someone tries not to wake me up when they enter a room. If I get woken up unintentionally I am physically motionless but my heart is racing and I am hyper alert.

Shake my foot to wake me and I come awake very normally, pleasantly no problems.

It has never been a violent thing where I wake up attacking people, it is just a few seconds of hyper alertness while almost being paralyzed, checking out the environment and insuring it is all clear. I still use military time and have started teaching my great niece, so she can figure the time out when she ask me. Love using the phonetic alphabet when I don't want people to know what I'm actually thinking. There was a movie recently that used phonetic alphabet in it's title and I told everyone it didn't meant what they said.
