The U.S. Army defines online conduct as the use of electronic communications in an official or personal capacity that is consistent with Army Values and Standards of Conduct.
THINK about the message being communicated and who could potentially view it; TYPE a communication that is consistent with Army values; and POST only those messages that demonstrate dignity and respect for self and others.

"Think first, Type, read what you type, then Post" or "Think first, speak," or Think first, act" seems like excellent advice CPT Pedro Meza. If more people thought before they acted there would much less confusion, and probably much less random and purposeful violence in this nation and the rest of the world for that matter.

The issue isn't think, type and post. It is when some are confronted with ideas/beliefs/positions that are not the same as theirs they simply must resort to name calling and whining on line. If you are going to participate in forums you should be prepared to read things you do not agree with. Formulate a better argument and have at it. Using words like misogynist, homophobe, transphobe, communist, idiot, moron etc will almost always evoke a nasty retort. Put on the big boy skivvies if you are going to jump in.

10 years ago while working at DFAS an E-6 shotgun blasted a vitriolic message. I asked why he did that and told him what he did was stupid. He promised never to do that again.
