It has been expanded and upgraded, with lots of new amenities. If you are going alone, you will be in Senior NCO housing, which are essentially apartments on post. If you have a family, you will get similar family housing in on-post apartments, or you can look outside the gates.

The Internet there is high-speed (when I left in 2015, they were installing 1 Gig into the barracks.) Of all the places, I think Humphreys is likely the best place to be posted. You're 2 hours drive/bus from Seoul, and you can get around South Korea by train really easily and cheaply. If memory serves, the local train station is Pyongtaek.

Good Luck and have fun! Just remember to stay out of trouble, as taking rank is a sport over there! I've seen everyone from junior enlisted to senior NCOs to Warrant Officers, and even Commissioned Officers get hemmed-up at 2ID.Response by SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 20 at 2020 8:28 AM2020-11-20T08:28:47-05:002020-11-20T08:28:47-05:002020-11-20T02:31:59-05:00
