You get 15 points for membership, but if you did not drill, go to schools, or do any additional duty to get the additional 35 points, you have 4 bad years for retirement. <br />In addition, if you aren&#39;t aware of it, you do not collect on a Reserve Retirement until age 60. Inactive time is not credited for retirement. If you were in the Reserves or Guard and had six good years then you could be credited for those years and retire.
