I'm sick and tired of seeing MY NCO CORP being diluted with substandard personnel. Here is my question(s) "Why is it that some people who aspire to be Non Commissioned Officers, work like crazy to get there and then forget where they came from? Why is it that these substandard people seem to treat Soldiers poorly and think it's ok rather than treating them the way they should be treated?

I can speak to one cause-- I had a Team leader who came up "back in the day" and got treated like crud. He told us that since that's how he came up, that's how he would treat everyone else.
This is an example of perpetuating toxic leadership. Just because you might have had it rough, or been treated poorly, that is NOT an excuse to treat others the same way. This only keeps the cycle going.
