There is a big difference.<br />The unit security manager (or a higher one, depending on the clearance required) can issue an interim clearance that would solve the immediate problem.<br /><br />I sense that there is more to this story.<br /><br />I strongly suggest that you see either a career counselor or retention to get your contract amended. You are an asset to the Army, even if it is not in this capacity.
