We left early in the morning to for my surgery and had to stay overnight. When we returned there was a citation for leaving the lights on during day light hours. I don&#39;t know why, but it really bothered me that someone would be that concern over lights being left on. I&#39;m sure there are other more important issues that need to be addressed. I received a citation for living my outdoor lights on. When is it acceptable to receive a citation from on-post housing? 2015-07-26T22:11:34-04:00 SSG Private RallyPoint Member 846015 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I received a citation for leaving outdoor lights on the day I left to Fort Sam Houston to have surgery. Especially in your situation. Try calling the housing office and explain your situation. Face it. We are humans and we all make mistakes. We (my neighbors) and I would cut it twice a week to keep in in regulation, but our entire housing unit would get citations the day after cutting for it being too long.
