(and PFC, SPC) <br />Ask them to double check the Sponsorship office contact info for you, and ask if they could walk over to it, get a name and a good contact number plus time that persona will be available to take a call. <br />When I left FH 2014 the office had small group of folks, Mil and Civ, say 8 or so...assuming the program is still active, there should be someone in the office 5 days a week during business hours. <br /><br />If none of that works, message me and I'll go on post and be a squeaky wheelResponse by SGM Erik Marquez made Sep 21 at 2017 10:52 AM2017-09-21T10:52:18-04:002017-09-21T10:52:18-04:001SG Johnny Carter2935385<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Do you know the Unit you are going to? Are there any specific questions you might want some answers for in advance of your PCS? Do your orders have you slated for a particular Brigade or Regiment and from there you might get a sponsor to contact but unlike going OCONUS, sponsorship is a little broken as one of the other responders has said.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 21 at 2017 1:32 PM2017-09-21T13:32:30-04:002017-09-21T13:32:30-04:00SGT Tony Clifford2936542<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I feel you. I went from Lewis which had an in process center to Korea also with in process to WSMR which has none. I showed up and went straight to my battalion as it was the only unit on the post. I did the post inprocessing through staff duty and the S-1 shop and the sent me directly to CIF. Every post has different processing and the only one that had sponsors was Lewis.Response by SGT Tony Clifford made Sep 21 at 2017 4:52 PM2017-09-21T16:52:23-04:002017-09-21T16:52:23-04:00SPC Roberto Figueroa2937547<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If you are a single soldier, try contacting BOSS (Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers).Response by SPC Roberto Figueroa made Sep 22 at 2017 1:59 AM2017-09-22T01:59:59-04:002017-09-22T01:59:59-04:00GySgt Private RallyPoint Member2941226<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am sure that the sponsorship program has value at certain remote locations but I never had a "sponsor" that did anything for me that I couldn't do for myself. What is it that you need a sponsor to do for you? Are you having a hard time finding housing? Are you trying to figure out what your new job will consist of? Maybe this is just one of the differences between the Marine Corps and the Army. Maybe since the Corps is smaller, I never had an issue contacting the gaining command in order to get answers to any questions I had.Response by GySgt Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 23 at 2017 2:17 PM2017-09-23T14:17:38-04:002017-09-23T14:17:38-04:00SSG Stephen Kimball2943816<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You probably won't have a sponsor until you reach your battalion.
