Good luck! For the Warrant Officer resume I wrote in first person, but the board hasn't convened yet, so I couldn't say which perspective is best. I do fully agree with WO1 Jennings that as long as you capture essential information that makes you stand out among your peers you should be good to go; just don't copy bullets from your NCOERs. One was first person, the other third. They were both first look selects. On mine I did it like 3rd person NCOER bullets. I managed to get picked up first look too so I'm left with the impression it doesn't matter. The only reason why I did mine in 3rd person bullet type brevity with just a little more detail was because in my opinion it was "more military". Purely opinion though brother. It took me 3 years, even when I wore the rank of Sergeant, I performed at the level of a Staff Sergeant. My ability to take on any system and understand how it operates through manuals and tinkering with the platform enabled me to become a subject matter expert in my MOS. I never settled for less when it came to training and the ability to train my soldiers to ensure that they were able to perform their duties. My NCOERS for the past 4 years have been 1/1’s, which I have earned through hard work and not just penciled in bullets. I was hand selected as the only SSG to attend a board panel to realign 25U/25C/25L MOS. Even at 33 years old I have always strived to achieve a 300 PT score. My philosophy is that in order to be leader you must set the example for your soldiers no matter the situation and to maintain your military bearing at all times. If I am selected as a Warrant Officer, I will have a much bigger impact with my ability on the NCO Corps. My dedication to my job will not only better myself, family and livelihood, but the success of the overall mission as a 255A Information Services Technician. After I had recently reenlisted indefinite in the Army, I had realized I wanted to achieve much more. With the army as my career for many years to come, I want to strive to become something better that I will be proud of after I retire. In order to be qualified to become a Warrant Officer, I had to raise my GT score and achieve a 12.9 on the TABE test. Although I am currently enrolled in college where I am working toward a bachelor’s degree in web development using .net language, I was still uncertain if I would pass the test. However, with my dedication and determination I was able to pass the test after two months of studying, while working and taking college classes at the same time. This shows my determination to become a Warrant Officer, and now that I am qualified to become one, I hope to continue with this determination for the many years to come in the military while contributing to the Warrant Officer Corps.
