It's pretty easy when you live sixteen miles out in the country at the end of a gravel road.Response by CPT Jim Schwebach made Jul 29 at 2017 9:30 PM2017-07-29T21:30:32-04:002017-07-29T21:30:32-04:00SFC Kelly Fuerhoff2781317<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I don't talk to any of my neighbors in my apartment building. I was convinced no one lived in the house next to me until the other day when I actually saw the person that lived there.. I have lived here for a year now. All military neighbors off post and we never see each other hahaResponse by SSG Kasius McCall made Jul 29 at 2017 9:55 PM2017-07-29T21:55:47-04:002017-07-29T21:55:47-04:00COL Private RallyPoint Member2781778<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Every time I have lived off post I have specifically looked for military neighborhoods. Over 50% of the people around me are either military from the same post or retirees. Makes things simpler. Now...if they avoid me, it's probably because I mow my lawn in ranger panties and combat boots with knee high black socks...because I can. The sheen from the baby oil might throw them off, but I gotta be me.Response by COL Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 30 at 2017 1:01 AM2017-07-30T01:01:44-04:002017-07-30T01:01:44-04:00PFC Jonathan Albano2784744<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Avoid is a strong word, however, I've been in my house for three years and still haven't received a cookie platter, nobody has asked if they could borrow my sugar, and the neighbor kids haven't asked if they can play with my daughter. It's not just you. This is typical of the culture these days. As far as the why, no clue.Response by PFC Jonathan Albano made Jul 31 at 2017 3:25 AM2017-07-31T03:25:21-04:002017-07-31T03:25:21-04:002017-07-29T21:19:28-04:00
