I'm seeing more and more comments by a few just to be negative? Why?

A few people on here only show up to leave negative comments on a post. I've blocked these people because I can't be bothered with them. Why bother posting just to be negative every chance possible?

MSgt Jim Wolverton, either they are trying to just troll for responses or they just don't have a very optimistic or healthy professional and personal lifestyle. It's ok to have differences of opinion and to get into spirited debates, but to be negative just for the heck of it makes no sense to me.

I agree it gets very frustrating. There are also a few who post questions then either reply immediately with their answer, or put their answer in the question.

Why post a question you either already know the answer to, or don't actually want an answer to?

The negativity though seems exceptionally irritating.

by negative comments does this mean expressing one's feelings about something? or chastising and or putting some one down about their expressed feelings? Just want to make sure I understand where you are coming from.

I'll admit guilt on a specific topic (VA Health Care), though that is more a frustration issue, and me venting that actual negativity. On nearly every other topic I do attempt to be neutral or positive however. That said, I do get snarky from time to time about some issues, just because cynicism gets the better of me. It is (generally) not directed at a person however.

But.. in the recent movie Tomorroland, they give the parable "Two wolves are fighting, one light and one dark. Which one wins?" - "The one you feed." Negativity is just easier to feed. It grows faster. It's easier to spot what is wrong, because there is so much right. I think it's a conditioning, that must be broken, constantly. We must make ourselves aware that we are feeding the wrong wolf.

MSgt Jim Wolverton Just continue to block them. This is a great site and there are a lot of great individuals out here posting good stuff. Intelligent stuff and stuff that we can learn from. Don't let the few who haven't grown up yet ruin it for you. Hang in there and enjoy those who know how to be positive even if its a subject they hate!
