I'm just curious, how do we know that people on here are actually Soldiers and not a member of a group trying to gather Intel on us?

true....This day and age you never know...I guess if you look at their Mil history you can tell...if you look and spot things that seem strange

Us members are pretty good at self-policing and weeding out the fakes. I've caught a few suspicious types myself and reported them to admin.

RP has a decently comprehensive process for verifying members. You can tell if a member is verified by the little box next to their name: if it's green, they're verified. Grey, is not. Keep in mind that there are Marines, Airmen, and Sailors here, too.

I don't know. With people using anonymous and not a name. and anothere person using Swampfox. I don't know if that is his real name. I use my middle name. And admin gave me a hard time about that.

Just be careful not to post anything specific.No need to update your personal information immediately either. The personal info I use (Rank, Unit, Job) is all outdated info. I will update it soon, but it will never be real-time information.

Another option you have is control of your Privacy Settings, SGT Private RallyPoint Member. In the upper right corner of the page and to the right of your name, there's a drop down box. Go to Settings and scroll down to Privacy Settings. You'll have the ability to control who sees your profile information.
