Join the Navy. Other than that, you have to decide what you want to do, and then look into which of the two gives you the best options for your career.Response by SN Greg Wright made Sep 12 at 2016 6:18 PM2016-09-12T18:18:06-04:002016-09-12T18:18:06-04:00SCPO Private RallyPoint Member1886204<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Best advice I can give you: PLEASE check out the United States Coast Guard. IF you are in a location where there is a USCG Reserve training unit and you can get in, the rewards, tangible and intangible, are beyond your current imagination, IF you have not completely LIMITED yourself to the USAF or the USN.Response by SCPO Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 12 at 2016 6:58 PM2016-09-12T18:58:01-04:002016-09-12T18:58:01-04:00ENS Private RallyPoint Member1886226<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It really depends on what you want to do. Also, I have concerns about your desire to become an officer. Why wait until you're back in? Commissioning programs for active duty personnel are extremely competitive. If you have your degree or are close to finishing it, I'd recommend NROTC or OCS. The LDO and STA-21 programs are almost impossible to pick up. TA and online courses can take a long time. You must also look into the age requirements and waiver eligibility. What you want to do as an Officer is another important question.Response by ENS Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 12 at 2016 7:08 PM2016-09-12T19:08:37-04:002016-09-12T19:08:37-04:00SFC George Smith1886521<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>interesting decision...Response by SFC George Smith made Sep 12 at 2016 8:37 PM2016-09-12T20:37:25-04:002016-09-12T20:37:25-04:00Maj Marty Hogan1886645<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Air force- but I am biased sorry.
