The pros are that not very many can finish the course, so you would be one of a few, and hopefully learn to be a good leader who can make excellent decisions under very stressful situations. Remember that your objective is to accomplish the mission, but you need to take care of your men to finish the mission. The cons, you will get your butt whipped, but it's worth it. I found that mental prep was just as important; you really have to push through tough moments. Also, brush up on land navigation; it can be a lifesaver out there. Talking to guys who’ve gone through Ranger School really helped me, too—they shared some great tips that made a difference.
