I'm considering joining Army Reserve. Is there any particular MOS that is more in demand to be able to volunteer for deployment(s)?

Look into Civil Affairs, they deploy all the time. But, be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.

Signal is. 25 series is high demand. 25N has a high demand and promotion slots are much less competitive than other signal mos's. However, 25N is a VERY LONG, BORING, and arduous AIT. It is roughly 7 months long, and you will be treated like a child the entire time. It is not for everybody. Nerds are mean. I don't care what people say. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

why the sudden urge to deploy...i survived five of them and have many friends who made a lot more... be careful what you wish for...my advice for you is join the national guard and get through college and get a high demand degree ... then worry about getting a deployment... awards and decorations do nothing for you on the civilian side and it ain't like the movies...

Civil Affairs (38A) is popular for deployments but the Quartermaster jobs are always needed as well (92A, 92F, 92W, and unfortunately 92M). Best of Luck!
