It will send you to Infantry OSUT, then to Airborne School, to Special Forces Prep School, the Special Forces Selection, then to all the qualifications after that point. If you don't hack it, they either reassign you to one of their support units or you get sent to the Infantry. If he is looking at the National Guard side, the contract is called REP63, but same exact school requirements. No National Guard SF in PA, but the 19th has units in Ohio and WV, and I believe the 20th has a unit in Maryland.Response by CPT Lawrence Cable made Feb 15 at 2018 9:24 AM2018-02-15T09:24:50-05:002018-02-15T09:24:50-05:00SGM Bill Frazer3356625<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Their is only 1 SOCOM ARNG that I know of, the 20th SFG. My friend lives in Chicago and would want a unit closer to here (I think 20th moved from Chicago to Camp Atterbury IN). I knew about 19th and 20th group and having to go to OSUT/airborne at Benning. It's past that it gets hazy. He wanted to know, if selected and making it past Q course, roughly how long the specialty training takes. SF units have different deployment lengths than regular army (9 months)Response by SSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 15 at 2018 12:12 PM2018-02-15T12:12:21-05:002018-02-15T12:12:21-05:002018-02-15T07:44:22-05:00
