I’m a poolees who has been in the DEP since August and I leave for boot camp on 4 days. Any last minute advice from Marines to help through?

Not a Marine Asher, but all I can say is keep your head up, listen to the instructors, work with your fellow recruits, and do your best plus.

Yeah Asher. Keep your head up and push forward no matter how hard it seems. What they do is push you so you can see just how far you can go. Always try to be first and in front. Dont let little things distract you and be ready, no other boot camp puts you through what Marine Boot camp does, no offense to my Army, Navy or Air Force brothers and sisters.

One last point when you graduate, and you will graduate, always remember you get out what you put in. If you go in with a crappy attitude your times gonna suck if your positive and mature and you do jot listen to the shit birds you’ll have a good time of it. Goid luck Pre Devil Dog. Semper Fi!

Don't pack like you're going on vacation, just go with the clothes on your back (it gets stored in a paper bag for 3 months anyways) and addresses for writing letters.

You got this, man. There is as much (if not more) mental challenges as there are physical. Charge hard, do what your told even if it seems ridiculous. It will all tie in together at the end. Don't think you know anything about anything, even if you do. Do exactly as you are told when you are told.

I am not a Marine, but from what I have heard, I agree with Sgt George Kovach, you have chosen the toughest one.

Can't wait to see you back on here on a few months with USMC by your name!

Keep your mouth shut, your eyes locked to the front, do EVERYTHING as fast and safely as you can. And NEVER, EVER give up. You aren’t doing anything hundreds of thousands haven’t successfully done before you. Graduation day will be worth it for the rest of your life.

Asher Richards Listen closely and be observant of everything around you. Have a good attitude and be squared away at all times. Help your fellow recruits when you can.
