I’m a male soldier and am engaged with a child coming soon. Will I still receive BAH for that child without being married yet?

Depends who custody. Sounds like things are good with Mom, so likely you will. If you are engaged and she is pregnant, why are you holding off the wedding? If you already have plans to marry, do it, and get her the DOD your spouse would deserve.

As long as the child is listed as your dependent? Yes, even if you cannot claim him or her on your taxes. Is you provide any kind of support for that child, including court ordered child support, yes you qualify for BAH. Just make sure that you have the child enrolled in DEERS.

Why not just get married and have a wedding later that way she can be receiving the benefits and you can be getting the extra money now!!
