I’m a 68C who is trying to get a head start on ALC. What do I need to do?

I’m a 68C that isn’t eligible to attend the promotion board yet but want to get a head start on ALC phase 1. What can I do?

PT: 250
Weapons: 39/40
Awards: 70 points
Residential: 16 points
Civilian Ed: 180 Maxed

I understand you have to be promotable to take priority on the OML, is there anyway I can atleast be assigned phase 1 to get the ball rolling?

Nope. There is no way to get any phase of ALC unless promotable because of the new system and so many people who are promotable needing ALC. Get promotable and you’ll be slotted because you have enough points.

Go to the HRC website and contact your schools branch manager and let him know you’re interested in ALC he might be able to slot you due to the amount of points you have even if you’re not promotable.

UPDATE**** So I called my NCOES Branch Manager and pretty much he said he can’t do anything for me until I get that P status. This is how the step program is messing with soldiers career! I have to wait until I’m eligible to pin on, then I get to work on what I need to promote...how does that even make sense? If school is now needed to pin on why can’t I start it, or attend it prior to being eligible to pin on 6?
