I know it's early, but what is everyone's opinion on civilians wearing U.S. Military uniforms for Halloween?

SPC (Join to see) - No throat punches, think if you had a little brother and he wore your uniform to imitate you then some SPC Mafia guy did a throat punch to him.

Came here to say this sir.
It shows that kids still look up to Soldiers as role models - people they can aspire to be like. They could be anything, but they chose to be something that is real and tangible.

It is a free country. Civilians are free to wear whatever they want, and military members are free to gripe about it.

Understandable but, when they're improperly wearing the uniform is such a big deal with veterans

SPC (Join to see) - It bothers me as well, but I also understand that one of our duties as service members is to defend everyone else's freedom to be stupid (or in this case, misinformed). Now, it is a different case when on days other than Halloween a civilian misrepresents himself as a military hero, because he is doing so for personal gain, albeit minor gain.

SPC (Join to see) - Why is that? To me, it doesn't really matter. If they're just dressing up as a sailor or Marine and taking their kids out trick or treating, or going to a party as a soldier then it seems innocent to me. It would bother me if they were getting a free drink or discount under false claims. But if they're just messing around having fun then I think we should sit back, stop being so uptight, and enjoy our night too!
