I just read an interesting article about hobbies and why we "need" them. Do you have a hobby? Would you share what that is?

This lifestyle of workism paired with media catharsis has left millennials and Gen-Zers caught in an upward trend of depression, anxiety, and suicidality.Hobbies fall between the productivity-catharsis divide. While it won’t fix the mental health crisis or the state of political discourse, perhaps it is time for us all to take the cliche advice and go find a hobby.

I am a woodworker and enjoy making bookshelves and cases. It relaxes me and gives me something to do in my slack time. I also indulge in fishing where I can be alone and talk with God. Even when I don't catch a thing, I am at peace.

I play softball every year. I started when I was 10 and have been playing ever since. It's not year round but as President of the County wide league I am busy from March through September.
