I heard my leaving LPO talk about the base that she is heading over, the base subcontracted out to a management company, so the company don't take all the BAH and at the end of the year, they credit you back all the extra with a check.<br /><br />So I think there is some truth about what you heard. You need to ask either the management company or the military housing office in your installation.
