In all seriousness, it could be due to the Hatch Act. We aren&#39;t supposed to use our positions for political purposes and having one of us on the BoD would be doing just that. AUSA is essentially a lobbyist organization so there may be some legal and ethical considerations. I am no expert on the Hatch Act.
